Heart Shattered
We understand ourselves through difference—nation, religion, language, family. Identity is built by drawing boundaries. Yet some experiences refuse those boundaries. Love and loss are neither cultural nor political. They arrive without asking who we are. A single absence can dissolve the distinctions we spend a lifetime constructing. Perhaps grief is not simply an emotion, but a place where identities lose their certainty.
Through photography, I explore the fragile space where individuality and universality meet. Beneath the identities we inherit and perform, there may exist experiences that belong to no one, and therefore to everyone.
